Well, here we are with the obligatory first post of a new endeavor.
Where we are going
I am not really sure where this journey will take me, but I am sure that it will be a little fun, a little cathartic, and hopefully mostly Catholic. I will never claim to be a theologian. Heck, I am a convert to the faith. The reason I titled this blog, “Ongoing Conversion,” really points to the fact that every day we all experience a conversion.
Although, I know much more than I did almost 20 years ago when I came into the Church. I’ve had experiences that I would never have dreamed of having. I would never suggest that I know everything I need to know. Please feel free to respond if I’ve got something wrong. I always have a good day when I learn something new.
My main reason for wanting to start this blog is to provide an outlet for me and anyone who struggles to live their faith, whilst raising children. Let’s face it today’s kids are going through a completely different set of challenges than I did 30-40 years ago. For example, today’s kids get “bored” easily, especially if Mom or Dad take a screen away from them.
I’m not the perfect parent, but I strive to get better every day. I am blessed with 4 kids all going through different phases of growing up. And God willing, hopefully by the time my daughter Greta leaves home, I might have it somewhat figured out.
What I ask of you
